TakeProfitTrader has clarified how monthly subscription renewals work for evaluation accounts, giving futures traders more specific information about billing dates, subscription management and the costs of keeping a trading test active.
In guidance updated on September 21, 2026, the firm explained that subscriptions renew each month on the same calendar day as the original purchase of the first account under that subscription. The renewal continues until the trader passes the evaluation or cancels the subscription. This replaces the assumption that billing necessarily follows a rolling 30-day interval.
The clarification matters for traders who take longer to complete an evaluation. TakeProfitTrader allows participants to work toward their profit targets without a fixed time limit, but that flexibility does not eliminate recurring subscription costs. Traders who need several weeks or months to meet the requirements must account for renewals when calculating the total cost of an evaluation.
TakeProfitTrader Changes Subscription Renewals for Evaluation Accounts
The firm’s subscription structure also allows multiple attempts, including paid resets, under one subscription. However, purchasing a reset does not change the existing renewal date. Traders therefore need to distinguish between the cost of restarting an evaluation and the recurring charge associated with keeping the subscription active.
Cancellation is another important consideration. According to TakeProfitTrader’s guidance, cancelling a subscription does not immediately remove access; traders retain access for the remainder of the billing cycle they have paid for. Conversely, breaking an evaluation rule does not automatically cancel the subscription. Traders must cancel it manually through their dashboard if they no longer want to continue paying.
For traders approaching a renewal date, checking the subscription dashboard can help prevent unwanted charges. The dashboard displays subscription status, renewal dates and the accounts associated with each subscription.
The update highlights a practical consideration in futures prop trading: evaluation costs extend beyond the initial purchase price. Traders comparing firms should consider how long they may need to pass, whether resets are likely and how recurring billing affects their overall budget.
Although the clarification does not change profit targets or trading rules, understanding the renewal schedule can help traders manage evaluation expenses more carefully.
